*Shopping for bathing suits
*Eating at Applebee's
*Using "public transportation" in New Haven

*Preparing for the future...on so many different levels

This has been quite an intersting time period. It's been so great, and I finally realized that it was because for the first time in my life I'm not wondering about what other people feel about me. I'm just being me, and it doesn't matter where I'm from, what I wear, what God I praise.... every is being a NON-conforming INDIVIDUAL, and it's so amazing to finally be around that in life.

Secondly, I realized that my home is not home anymore. The five weeks that I spent at home was truly the last time that I would ever be home for that long. Of course I'll be home to visit, but every summer will be spent somewhere else. Then after graduation, Med School will be here, and I'll be gone for good. My friends are leaving Hoover, and there's nothing there for me anymore. It makes me extremely sad, yet happy. It's difficult to grasp that I'm leaving my comfort zone for good, that what has always been so familiar, will only be a place to visit now. However, I am eagerly looking forward to the new things to come.

This summer has inspired me in so many different ways. I won't get into it all now, but it has encouraged me to be a better individual on so many different levels-- mentally, spiritually, and physically. I am so thankful that God has allowed me the opportunity for so many wonderful experiences.
